The Street Works Qualification Register (SWQR) is an official database in the UK that records individuals who have achieved qualifications related to street works and road maintenance. It is designed to ensure that those involved in street works, such as utility companies, contractors, and local authorities, are adequately trained and competent to carry out their tasks safely and in compliance with legal standards.
The SWQR includes details about the qualifications and training received by individuals, particularly in relation to the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA). This encompasses areas such as excavation, reinstatement, and working safely in public roads and spaces.
