Though the standards applied to this route and the methods of achievement are exactly the same as those applied to the NPORS CSCS Operator card route, the NPORS traditional card does not bear the CSCS logo.
The NPORS Traditional Operator cardholders have the option to select three or five year registrations for this card dependent on any sector specific or in-company requirements.

What is the NPORS CSCS Operator Card?
The NPORS CSCS Operator Card is for those who are at the beginning of their career in plant operations. It enables an individual to work in their chosen field under supervision while they complete the relevant Vocational Qualification (VQ).
The NPORS CSCS Operator Card categories are only valid for two years after the NPORS Theory and Practical Test have been successfully achieved.
Within the two-year period you must complete a VQ to upgrade your card to a NPORS CSCS Competent Operator Card.

Do I need CSCS card if I have an NPORS card?
A worker does not need a separate CSCS card if they hold an NPORS card, unless their job requires them to. To apply for a trained operator NPORS card, neither a CSCS card nor an NVQ is required.
