Overview

The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) is the UK’s industry body that supports training, qualifications, and skills development across the construction sector. CITB accreditation ensures training providers meet high standards in delivering construction-related qualifications, ensuring consistency, compliance, and quality across the industry.

What the CITB Accreditation Ensures:

  • Quality and Consistency – all courses are delivered to nationally recognised standards.
  • Compliance – ensures legal and health & safety requirements are met.
  • Recognition – qualifications are widely accepted across the construction industry.
  • Funding Access – CITB levy-paying employers can claim grants for accredited training.

What should I do if my PASMA card and certificate expire?

Your PASMA card confirms that you have been trained and are qualified to work with scaffold towers. If it’s nearing expiration, you must renew your training before the date shown on your card. This requires attending another training course.

The course will include both a written and practical exam. After successfully completing the course, you will be issued a new PASMA card and certificate.
