NVQ Level 4 in Controlling Lifting Operations - Supervising Lifts

Overview

The Level 4 Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations (Construction) – Supervising Lifts qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification for those working in the construction industry who want to supervise the lifting of suspended loads. The aim of this qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence demonstrated by an individual in the workplace.
Who is this NVQ for?

This qualification is for anyone wishing to demonstrate occupational competence in the supervision of lifting operations. By completing this NVQ, learners will also be eligible for their CPCS Blue Competency Card or NPORS CSCS Competent Operator Card.

To initiate the process, learners are required to complete our enrolment documentation. Upon confirmation of the learners’ details, we will proceed to register them for their selected qualification.

Upon registration, your designated NVQ assessor will get in touch with you to schedule your onsite visits.

Your NVQ assessor will cover the following:

  • Qualification induction
  • Knowledge questions
  • Professional discussion
  • Written testimony from your supervisor
  • Observations in the workplace

Upon successful completion, learners will receive a ProQual Level 4 NVQ Certificate in Supervising Lifts. We will apply for a CPCS Blue Competency Card or NPORS CSCS Competent Operator Card on your behalf.

The stated duration serves as a guideline; however, we are flexible and can accommodate your work schedule to complete your NVQ at your preferred pace.

Please note, when applying for your CPCS or NPORS card, you must have an in-date Supervisors Health, Safety and Environmental test.

NVQ Prerequisites

Delegates must have a good understanding of spoken English.

While there are usually no formal entry requirements for enrolling onto this NVQ, this qualification has been developed for a real workplace environment which means learners will need to be employed to undertake this qualification.

If you wish to upgrade your current CPCS Red Trained Operator Card or NPORS CSCS Trained Operator card, your categories must be in date or fall within the awarding body grace period.
