Overview

This course focuses on equipping individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and effectively operate various types of powered access equipment. Delegates will gain a comprehensive understanding of the equipment, including its components and capabilities.
Course Content
At the end of the course, delegates will have an understanding of:
•Introduction to powered access
•MEWP categories
•Safety regulations and legislation
•Pre-operational checks
•Operating procedures
•Risk assessment and hazard identification
•Emergency procedures
Delegates who achieve this course will receive a IPAF certificate and IPAF operator Powered Access Licence, which will be valid for five years.

Delegates will also have access to the IPAF ePAL app where their certificate is stored.
To remain certified in this area, you will need to retake the course before the expiry date.

Please note that if a hardcopy PAL card/certificate is required, it must be arranged prior to the course start date, which will include an additional charge.

Who should attend?

The IPAF Operator course covering Mobile Vertical (3A) and Mobile Boom (3B) course is intended for individuals who will be operating powered access equipment in various work environments. It equips participants with the necessary skills to safely and efficiently operate static booms, mobile vertical lifts, and mobile boom lifts.

Course Prerequisites

Delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

The training has practical elements, so delegates must inform their trainer if they have any serious health issues, physical problems, special considerations or are taking any medication, which may create difficulties in any elements of this course. In addition, delegates should also bring suitable PPE on the day of training, for example; safety helmets, safety shoes or boots, hi-vis and gloves.
