Overview

This course is designed to provide individuals with the correct skills, knowledge and understanding to be able to safely and effectively use a pedestrian operated pallet truck.
Course Content
At the end of the course, delegates will have an understanding of:
•The law and legal requirements
•Types, uses and components
•Pre use checks
•Capacity
•Stability
•Battery maintenance
•Loading/unloading procedures
•Pallet and load assessment
•Shut down procedures
Delegates who achieve their assessments will receive their CMT ID Card, which will be valid for three years.
Training delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical instruction.

The assessment will consist of a theory assessment and a practical demonstration and will be undertaken under test conditions.
To remain certified in this area, you will need to retake the course before the expiry date.

Groups: A3, A4 A5, A6, A7, Z3, Z4 category trucks.

The pedestrian operator pallet truck course is intended for anyone whose job involves the use of a pedestrian operated pallet truck to reduce the risk of accidents.

Course Prerequisites

Delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

Reasonably fit, both physically and mentally, to safely operated a very narrow aisle man-down lift truck.
