CMT62 Crane Supervisor – Lifting Operations

Overview

This course is for people with limited or no experience of being a crane supervisor. It teaches delegates how to the duties of a crane supervisor as defined by the appointed person.
Course Content
At the end of the course, delegates will have an understanding of:
•Health and safety regulations
•Planning and risk assessment for lifting operations
•Crane types and equipment familiarisation
•Pre-operational checks and inspections
•Lifting operations and method statements
•Crane set-up and positioning
•Supervising crane operations and communication
•Safety procedures
•Emergency procedures
•Post-operation checks and documentation
Delegates who achieve the CMT theory and practical tests will receive their CMT trained operator card, which will be valid for three years.
Training delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical instruction. Delegates will cover manufacturer knowledge and awareness of lifting operations, and general knowledge of safety procedures, and best practices.

The CMT theory and practical tests will be undertaken under test conditions.
Upon expiry of your CMT trained operator card, you can refresh your skills by attending a refresher course.
