Overview

The CISRS Part Two Practical Skills Assessment is a mandatory requirement of the CISRS scheme, and is for Trainee Scaffolders who have completed both a CISRS Part Two Scaffolder course, and the Level Two NVQ in Scaffolding. It is intended to assess and verify the learner's knowledge of the scaffolding skills learned on the Part One and Part Two courses.
Course Content
The practical skills assessment will assess your ability to:
•Basic product information and manufacturer’s instructions
•Legal overview – health and safety
•British and European standards
•Overview of product accreditation and testing schemes
•Guidance and industry standards
•Component range Basic system(s) of work
•Bracing requirements
•Ties, stability and tie patterns
•Loading and duties
•Access towers
•Independent tied scaffolds including returns and hop-ups
•Birdcage access scaffolds
•Loading towers
•Methods of access and egress including stairways.
Delegates who achieve this assessment, will receive the CISRS Scaffolder Blue card.
The assessment will be based on your portfolio of evidence of your scaffolding career to date.
Delegates who have achieved their CISRS Advanced Scaffolder course will have 18-months before they need to book onto their CISRS Skills Test (Tube and Fitting) course. Working towards Gold Card.

Who should attend?

This practical assessment is suitable for scaffolders who have previously passed the Part 1 and Part 2 for Tube and Fitting or System Scaffold courses and have acquired the necessary practical experience.

Course Prerequisites

Prior to attending this skills test, delegates must have successfully completed a CISRS Part Two Course at least 6 months previously. Delegates must also hold a Level 2 NVQ/SVQ certificate in scaffolding.

Delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

Delegates must have passed a CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test no more than two years before attending this course or hold a CISRS recognised exemption. If you require more information on how to book this test, please contact us.
