Overview

The CISRS Advanced Scaffold Inspection course teaches delegates how to take responsibility for statutory scaffold inspection of complex scaffolding structures. It is intended to equip learners with up-to-date health and safety knowledge and the relevant considerations to be made when undertaking complex scaffold inspections in pursuance of the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
Course Content
At the end of the course, delegates will have an understanding of:
•Introduction to Scaffolding and Scaffolding Terminology
•The Work at Height Regulations 2005
•British, European and Industry Standards (NASC)
•Overview of SG4:15 – Preventing Falls in Scaffolding Operations
•Tube, fittings and boards
•Safe ladder access and egress
•Scaffolders training and working methods
•Bracing and tying scaffolds
•Fan boards and public protection
•Mobile, static and loading towers
•Birdcage scaffolds
•Beams and bridging beams
•Several types of system scaffolding
•How to carry out a scaffolding inspection
•Scaffold tagging systems
Delegates who achieve this course will receive a CISRS certificate and a CISRS Advanced Scaffold Inspection card.
Training delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical instruction.

The knowledge test and assessment will be undertaken under test conditions.
Delegates who have achieved their CISRS Advanced Scaffolder course will have 18-months before they need to book onto their CISRS Skills Test (Tube and Fitting) course.

Course Prerequisites

Prior to attending a CISRS Advanced Scaffold Inspection course, attendees must have held a CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspection Card for a minimum of two years; or have held a CISRS Part Two Scaffolding card for two years; or be an existing Advanced Scaffold Inspection card holder.

Delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

Delegates must have passed a CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test no more than two years before attending this course or hold a CISRS recognised exemption. If you require more information on how to book this test, please contact us.
