Overview

The CISRS Advanced Scaffold course teaches delegates how to safely erect, alter and dismantle complex scaffolding structures, working as part of a team.
Course Content
At the end of the course, delegates will have an understanding of:
•Half day fall prevention and rescue training (SG4)
•Health and safety awareness
•Performance standards (BSEN 12811 and TG20) and management of temporary works (BS5975)
•Tubular drop scaffold from steelwork
•Cantilever drop scaffold
•Two chord raking shore
•Three chord raking shore
•Dead shore
•Flying shore
•Temporary roof scaffold
•Stairways
•Ramps
•Advanced scaffold inspection
•Mobile aluminium tower training for Scaffolders
•Risk assessments
•Method statements
•Communication skills toolbox talks
•Anchor tie testing (TG4)
Delegates who achieve this course will receive a CISRS certificate which will enable them to progress to complete the Level Three NVQ.
Training delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical instruction.

The 50-question theory test, and practical tests will be undertaken under test conditions.
This booking does not include the NVQ Level 3 or 2 Day practical assessment. These are separate courses and require separate bookings.

During this course, delegates will begin building their NVQ portfolio required for working towards achieving the CISRS Scaffolder Blue Card.

Who should attend?

This course is aimed at existing Scaffolders who wish to progress their careers to be able to work unsupervised on complex scaffolding structures.

Course Prerequisites

Prior to attending a CISRS Advanced Scaffold course, delegate(s) must have held a CISRS Part Two Scaffolding Card for a minimum of twelve months.

Delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

Delegates must have passed a CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test no more than two years before attending this course or hold a CISRS recognised exemption. If you require more information on how to book this test, please contact us.
