Overview

This course is essential for supervisor who need to refresh and reassess their knowledge of the legislative framework, practical actions they must take, safety principles and more in NRSWA. In addition, delegates will review legal requirements, ensure safety compliance, and understand procedures and appropriate documentation and classifications.
Course Content
This course will cover the following units:
•LA – Location and avoidance of underground services
•S1 – Signing, lighting and guarding
•S2 – Excavation in the highway
•S3 – Reinstatement and compaction of backfill materials
•S4 – Reinstatement of non-bituminous sub-base and road-base materials
•S5 – Laying practices and reinstatement of cold lay bituminous materials
•S6 – Monitoring reinstatement of concrete slabs
•S7 – Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways.
Successful delegates will be requalified in all the modules from their previous street works card qualification.
This is a theory-based course with no practical elements.

The assessment is multiple-choice and will be undertaken under test conditions.
Prior to expiry of your certificate, you can renew your qualification by attending a NRSWA reassessment course.

Who should attend?

This NRSWA Supervisor Reassessment course is for anyone with a street works operative card that has expired within the last five years.

Course Prerequisites

Delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English.
Delegates who wish to undertake the reassessment course must provide a copy of their current Streetworks Card (front and back).

Delegates will also be required to present their original card to the trainer on the first day of the course. Photocopies will not be accepted.
