This dedicated course equips employees with the essential knowledge and techniques needed to lift, carry, push, and pull loads safely in the workplace. Poor manual handling is one of the most common causes of workplace injury, often leading to back problems and long-term musculoskeletal disorders. This course is designed to reduce those risks by promoting safe practices and compliance with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (MHOR).

• Legal responsibilities and employer/employee duties
• Common injuries caused by poor manual handling
• Assessing risks before moving loads
• Safe lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling techniques
• Team handling and use of mechanical aids
• Correct posture and ergonomics in the workplace
Delegates who achieve the CMT theory and practical tests will receive their CMT trained operative card, which will be valid for three years.
Training delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical instruction. Delegates will cover manufacturer knowledge and awareness of vehicle operations, and general knowledge of safety procedures, and best practices.

The CMT theory and practical tests will be undertaken under test conditions.
