The exercise for a Continuous EQA visit by ProQual, as your AO, is to scrutinise the candidate learner journey before they have achieved their
qualification and to ensure the centre’s internal quality assurance systems are being implemented effectively with a consistent interpretation of
relevant national standards being applied, e.g., Consolidated Assessment Strategy (CAS) for CITB or other industry standard requirements in relation to
our qualifications.
This type of visit focuses on such things as ‘live’ candidate portfolios or the assessment methods and decisions and internal quality management
procedures in place at the subject centre, observed in practice, as the EQA did on this occasion. As an Awarding Body, ProQual will routinely review
how, and who, is engaging in assessment and verification at our approved centres, ensuring that the interpretation of the qualifications being
undertaken is sound and consistent.
As can be seen, this is a very positive report with no outstanding actions or areas of development identified, and as such, supports your centre’s
Continuous Certification status with ProQual. The EQA has recorded various examples of good practice in relation to assessment in practice throughout
the report.
We would like to thank you for facilitating the arrangements for this visit, enabling Terry to manage the visit effectively
